If the employment requirement in Malaysia include rudeness, most Malaysians would all have jobs. I take all the public transport to and back from work imaginable, be it ktm, lrt and even rapid buses and there are no shortages of rude people. I'm not saying people should go around beaming, smiling to everyone crazily but at least have manners. Public transportation is just one of it, you'll see it anywhere.
1. When they want to buy something , throw their money on the counter and demand without saying please. And if someone else is there before them, they act like waiting is a sin. And soon after, take what they bought and leave without saying thank you. I see this all the time! so rude.
2. People who don't even say excuse me to cut through to pass by. I don't have eyes at the back of my head.
3. When the train is full and all the ladies are standing while the men are sitting down quietly, sleeping. Or at least seem to be. Worst if that lady is an elderly, seriously - where is your guilty conscience?
4. Bus drivers need to smile more. If it"s free you can scream loudly if you want to but we do pay.
5. KTM scene is like a warzone, everyone pushing each other to enter and the one coming out can't even make their way out. Which people, is what we want. It doesn't kill to make way. I mean, if you think you waited for the train longer, guess what - all of us did.
6. The people in the cubicle selling train tickets are mostly rude. Now I know why they need that glass, to protect people from punching their face. Or should I do number 1 to get even?
7. Whenever you want to exit a door, and you see someone behind you going out as well - you genuinely hold the door for them. And they just swiftly walk out, not holding back the door and don't even say thank you. Major rudeness. My cat is much more civilized.
8. People who don't say thank you when you've helped them. A simple thank you would do.
It's the basic people - Thank you, please and I'm sorry. The kids are learning these from the Disney channel, maybe you should do the same.
