Park Jung Min is back with his second solo single, Beautiful!I love the dance feel of this song way better than his first single and actually, his bandmates. 5/5
This has been out two days ago but only now started to sink in me. It's actually pretty catchy and definitely something different from the boys. B1A4's Try to walk is worth the listen. 4/5
Boyfriend is back (and i am their fan) but with a completely new direction that to me is quite plain. Almost all boyband is doing this tough depressed ballad and I like how Boyfriend is going for chirpy young feel. Janus also lacks the catchy feel that Boyfriend is known for. 2/5
A new dance sub unit from SM consisting members of Henry from SJ-M, Eunhyuk from SJ, Kai from Exo K, Luhan from Exo M, Taemin from SHINee and Hyoyeon from SNSD.
The song is Maxstep (though it makes no sense)...to me, has no significant impact besides the line up. 2/5
Check out the duo Michael Cashmore and Steffi Thiel, they are so beautiful. Just one of those piece where chirpy sweet delicate voices would just do the trick. Steffi's new album - Late But Never was just out last week an full of folksy bliss
Tracklisting:
01 – Tonight
02 – The Bells Ring
03 – Hearts Fear
04 – The Clover
05 – No One
06 – A Bird
07 – Late But Never
08 – A Voice Through A Cloud
09 – Hello Tangerine
10 – Dough Light
11 – Circling Suns
12 – We Reel
13 – Untitled
I love Tonight where you can hear how sweet she sounds backed up by Michael Cashmore deep husky voice. Other noticeble tracks are Hearts Fear, Hello Tangerine (so good!) and We Reel.
There's no need to introduce Miss Li, she has established her work similar to Lykke Li and Soley. Tangerine Dream has just been released with 10 new awesome tracks!
Tracklisting:
01 – Teenager For Life
02 – Plastic Faces
03 – Respected Old Man
04 – Golden Retriever
05 – All Those Men
06 – A Darker Side Of Me
07 – It Ain’t Over
08 – My Heart Goes Boom
09 – Throw It In The Trash Can
10 – Clever Words
If you're a fan of her first single, My Heart Goes Boom than you'll enjoy the rest of the tracks. My favorite is Plastic Faces (such awesome anthem) and All Those Men.
Candian male singer that I am so into right now, Aidan Knight just released their sophomore album - Small Reveal. With the blend of acoustic pop rock and folk together makes his deep voice so thrilling to listen to.
Tracklisting:
01 – Dream Team
02 – A Mirror
03 – Singer-Songwriter
04 – Figure I
05 – You Will See The Good In Everyone
06 – The Master’s Call
07 – Skip
08 – Figure II
09 – Creatures Great & Small
10 – Figure III
11 – Margaret Downe
I love how Dream Team was first to be featured, starting off with a minimalist tone the slowly progressing to a much heavier instrument. That was a pretty cool intro and the album has quite few fillers like all of the "Figures". This comes to show how Knight really knows his music too.
Favorite track out of all is A Mirror and Margaret Downe!
Had the greatest night ever yesterday, thanks to Big Bang Alive Samsung Tour (the name is something like that - lol). The best part of the concert is when GD sang a bix boxed version of Crayon as a crowd teaser (swore my heart jumped!) and when the boys tried really heart talking in Malay "Malacia, Aku Cinta Padamu!" EPIC!. The floor was wet from the rain, Taeyang was slipping most of the time (i think it is his move). And they even sang Cafe!, favorite track from the album!
The cutesy, newly four Girl's Day is back with a new promo - Dont Forget Me. It is really catchy and yet effortlessly simple. Though them being a four just made this whole concept lack that star power Girl's Day brings. 3/5
If you've been following my taste in music, it has more for folky dreamish pop and definitely a plus if it is a duo! I love the sound when male and female make when singing together, so calming. Savoir Adore is great new add-on to Chairlift and Moon Duo with their album, Our Nature:
01 – Dreamers
02 – Loveliest Creature
03 – Sparrow
04 – Imagination
05 – Anywhere You Go
06 – Our Nature
07 – Regalia
08 – At The Same Time
09 – Empire of Light
10 – Speed Bump
11 – Wild Davie
12 – Sea of Gold
I love love the beat in At The Same Time, Empire of Light and Sea of Gold like it belongs in one of those NYFW shows . Dreamers and most the tracks are best of what a fan of dream pop can ask for - enough bridge of the music, voices sang not overwhelming, most importantly - can still dance to it!
This awesome british lad, with self debut album dropped out recently - he makes me rape the repeat button. Just when you though that the brits can't get any cooler
Tracklisting:
01 – Lighting Bolt
02 – Two Fingers
03 – Taste It
04 – Seen It All
05 – Simple As This
06 – Country Song
07 – Broken
08 – Trouble Town
09 – Ballad Of Mr Jones
10 – Slide
11 – Someone Told Me
12 – Note To Self
13 – Someplace
14 – Fire
His music and style is so chill, cross between Oasis and Artic Monkey. A new breed of folk rock.
Like one of those songs you really want to know who sang them in Skin.I love all of the tracks especially two fingers and Trouble Town.
B.A.P is back with a new mini, Stop It featuring a brand new promotional single - Stop It (suprised! :p). It's definitely a new sound coming from this group that usually delivers heavy heart stomping dance songs. Stop It combines the cute elements of a typical Kpop songs that we all love (i.e Boyfriend, B1A4) but their rap skills are still quite significant making this a recognisable B.A.P material! 4/5
The famous member of 4Minute (well, mostly featured) HyunA is back with her (437th) new single, Ice Cream taken from new mini - Melting. It's sexy, sexy is HyunA alright but the song doesn't really move or make you dance as much to her previous songs. I would really love to see other members of 4M getting their own solos! Psy in the video was probably the only interesting part of the MV, the rest was Ah, Uh, and screaching all the way. 2/5
I love this dude! he has so much swag with his broody deep voice and wolf gang-ish (doesnt he and Max look alike?) musical influence but rockier. Eugene new album, The invitation to the voyage is uber chic.
I cant get harlequinade, sugarplum and shotgun out of my head. Been singing to the chorus all day.
Lion is a great song as well as it has quite a unique arrangement similarly to Franz Ferdinand older hits. Definitely worth the spins!
This new Australian Band made their debut two weeks back with A is for Alpine after the success of their first single, Hands. I think they are immensently cool, a breed of pop and lo-fi electronic beats.
Tracklist:
01 – Lovers 1
02 – Lovers 2
03 – Hands
04 – Villages
05 – Soft Sides
06 – Seeing Red
07 – Gasoline
08 – All for One
09 – Too Safe
10 – In the Wild
11 – The Vigour
12 – Multiplication
Tracks that I love beside Hands (of course, who doesn't) are seeing-red, gasoline and too safe. Most of their tracks are not too noisy and mid-tempo which is good as you get to appreciate the girls' voices more. I do wish they showcase more variety with other tracks as certain songs are too safe.
Another cool shoegaze band that I want to share is Purity Ring! They have shot to my no.1 playlist and has stays there for awhile now.
They debut with Shrines after a couple of EPs. Their Lo-Fi feel and cool XX-ish upbeat music arrangement can easily leave you wondering off into your own world. It is that addictive.
There is no need for me to point out which track I like cause i love all of them and each tracks has a unique beat that you will most definitely be addicted to.
Hello there!
I know I know, I owe you guys music. Though this is not updated, good music are meant to be share regardsless. And I will share a whole lot more...soon
Starting with this week, I have Milo Greene. Their self-title debut album was actually released a month back but I have not stop listening to them. Seriously people, they are so good, better that Angus/Julia (if you think no music could get any better than them, well you're wrong!)
Tracklist:
01 – What’s The Matter 02 – Orpheus 03 – Don’t You Give Up On Me 04 – Perfectly Aligned 05 – Silent Way 06 – 1957 07 – Wooden Antlers 08 – Take A Step 09 – Moddison 10 – Cutty Love 11 – Son My Son 12 – Polaroid 13 – Autumn Tree
I love the breezy and simple music arrangement in 1957, Take a Step and Cutty Love. It's one of those cute over the cliff songs that makes your face red. Slow tracks such as Silent Way and Moddison is repeat-worthy as well. Not all bands can come out with a record that has 13 amazing tracks and MG produced just that.
Fancy a cool music to be hooked into? Try Izabo. Life is on my side is pure pop meets electronic/70's vide perfection!
Tracklisting:
01 – Girls
02 – I Like It
03 – Life Is On My Side

06 – On My Way
07 – Jonny
08 – Fashion Free
09 – Showtime
10 – Baby
11 – On Me
12 – Boys
13 – Time (Eurovision 2012)
14 – A Day in the Sun
Trust me, good/great music are very much out there. Dance to Izabo and you'll feel me!
By now you would know how much i love and has been listening to Settle Down like crazy (if you follow me on twitter). The comeback was the worth the wait. Love the indian/reggae/rock mas up the band has going on. The part where she goes "nothin's gonna knock this girl go down" is so addictive.
Check out the lyrics here:
Get-get-get in line and settle down.
Get-g-Geeeet, in line and settle down.
Where's your brain (Do you copy?)
Take it in to check you out
Concerned about your wherabouts
Copy that (Do you copy?)
You're acting strange (Do you copy?)
So tell me what is going on
It's so heavy, I bet
I'm Fine (and nothing's gonna knock this girl down)
I'm hella positive for real
I'm all good, no
I'm Fine (and nothing's gonna knock this girl down)
It's kind of complicated thats for sure.
But you can see it in my eyes
You can read it on my lips
I'm trying to get a hold on this.
And I really mean it this time
And you know its such a trip
Don't get me started
I'm trying to get a hold on this.
Get-get-get in line and settle down
Get-g-Geeeet, in line and settle down.
No big deal (I can handle it)
It'll bounce off me (I can handle it)
Been around the block before
Doesn't matter anymore
Here we go again (Are you kidding me?)
Are you insane? (Are you kidding me?)
Underneath the avalanche
So heavy again
I'm a rough and tough
I'm a rough and tough
And nothing's gonna knock this girl down
I've been feeling a little down lately with work and how my life is going. You know one of those phase where you find yourself staring blanky at something/daydreaming in the middle of a conversation. Thanks to my googling skill, my emotional brain brought me to her - Gabrielle Alpin. Home is such a beautiful EP and she's right, home is where the heart is. And i just realized how much i miss home.
Tracklisting:
1. Home
2. Keep Pushing Me
3. Out of My own
4. Romeo Must Die
5. Let Me In
I love all of these songs and you should too. Her voice is so pretty and is not over bearing to hear to.
I actually have a lot of music to share with (heck, downloaded at least 3 new music every day). But work got the best of me, sorry guys :(. I wish i can just pass you my ipod.
