I watched two movies yesterday, Burlesque and The Rite. Burlesque was expected, nice songs, cute scenes but not mind blowingly (such word) great. All the songs sounded the same to me, or maybe it is because Xtina's voice has the tendency to do just that. But I have to say, for a diva (so called) Xtina was a pretty good actress. Sure her acting involves mostly to sing, no biggie there - but her facial expression is better than Cher's emotionless botox facial movements.
The Rite on the other hand was an utter disappointment. The doubter of the satan's existence (the main guy) was going back and forth, on and on with his doubt. At some point I wanted to strangle him so that he'll make up his mind. Maybe the movie was bad for me thanks to this girl sitting right in front who basically screams at every scene. Annoying.
But two movies is better than none.
