Artist of The Week: Jessica Mauboy

I posted a song from her before, Saturday Night. Those who doesn't know her yet, she's an Australian pop singer, runner up of their 4th Idol. Isn't it funny that it's always the runner ups that banks in more cash and well, makes more record? hah!

Her second studio album, Get 'Em Girls actually has been released since September last year. Her team concentrate on only promoting it to the Australian market, thus that's why you don't hear about it. I actually just have the time to listen to it since two weeks ago (I know) and seriously people, she is GOOD. Her album is polished, every track is a good song to be played on the radio and there's minimal auto tune used (surprise there) that you can tell that she has a strong voice. It's such a good pop album that you would expect it from a pop icon or something. Featured in her album are the likes of Jay Sean, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Iyaz and many more. So you know that this is greatly thought after. Don't you just hate of those album that only the first track (lead single) sounded great, the rest are just fillers.

I love Like This feat Iyaz, Handle This, Accelerate That, Fight For You, Maze and actually all of the 16 tracks. And that is rare. So go listen to it!
