Artist of The Week: The Grates

There is something about female lead for a rock band that gets me excited. The Grates reminded me so much of Garbage and why I love listening to them. I think Patience Hodgens (the lead) is oh so sexy. Their thrid album, Secret Rituals is filled with uptempo, punk-ish catchy tunes. Turn Me On, the first single is wickedly recorded (i mean look at how cool the MV is?) that with the heavy drums and Patience's husky voice, this make a pretty solid track. Another favorite of mine, Like You Could Have It All is another brilliant track that is well likely inspired by Garbage. I love as well Change, The Night Won't Start Without US and Borrowed Skin. This album definitely gets you going. Enjoy!
