We had free tickets to go and catch Aflin Shauki, Harith Iskandar, Ida Nerina, Jason Lo and other local comedians perform at the PJLA Theater. They called this the actorlympics but basically people, just imagine whose line is it anyway done by locals. It is funny but the thought seeing this before and being a ripped off from the show just bugged me. But it is better to Raja Lawak and what not la.
The jokes are very Malaysians. It just have to be dirty. I mean I'm not like one of those who gets offended by dirty jokes, disgusted and all - I love them but too much of it and you'll find it annoying. It's like the need to put out jokes on sex to save the show when their jokes aren't that funny. 15 minutes after the show started, Jason Lo already has his pants down to his knees.
I think the other comedic act, Mel - she was underrated. She is funny and was hoping to see more of her. Then again, this show needs the audience feedback to make it work. Don't count on my office mates as we were all too tired. I just found out about this laugh fest week, so definitely going try and see more stand ups soon.
