Beastly & That Hikayat Movie.

Let's start off with a local, Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa by KRU. Talk of the town, a sensation  - so gave it a try. The plot is so Disney-ish, I mean straight from a children's fairytale book. Add a little graphic and you get a movie. I hate when people say, "ala, it's a local movie - so pretty good". Why settled less? If Korea can do movies better than the US, why can't Malaysia? right *crickets*

One thing tho, I love the dialogue. So old school, so poetic. And yes, took me a few minutes to comprehend, but still beautiful. The humor scenes work as well, the jokes were pretty decent. The main actor has that in the bag, he was funny. A 3/5 - good try.

Beastly, ANOTHER Disney-ish plot was boring. Hikayat so got it better. Don't watch. I only like Marie Kate in this. The scenes doesnt make sense, there were no continuity and Vanessa Hudgens doesn't suit a clean sweet girl image anymore. Weird. 2/5 - barely.


I want to watch SUCKER PUNCH!!!
