Thought after listening to his first single, Limit to your love - I gave James Blake a try. His self title debut was somewhat a surprise (in a bad way). At first from that single, he to me come across as sounding like a masculine soul Sade with Beck's electronic vibe. Ah, brit's creativity.
His album starts off with Unlucky, which was interesting at first but through all the other 10 tracks later - it gets slow and repeatable. When I say repeatable, it's not only in the sound but the lyric as well. Other tracks that I actually like is his second single, The Wilhelm Scream and Lindisfarne II. Nevertheless, this make a breezy easy listening going to work type of play list.
