Serious Note

Should Indonesian maid have clubs here in Malaysia?

No. definitely not. But classes wouldn't be such a bad idea. Came across this question from a poll on Malaysian reserve online (gosh, I sound so old, bgah). What are the function of such clubs anyway? To discuss the current issues? counseling sessions? fickle.

If this is the goal to reduce the rate of maids running away or being abused, then classes for them would be better. Enhance the skills, so that they are more equip, ready to work. Some of them don't even know how to cook, which is a need in terms of being a maid la. And you need a club for that? bgah. Clubs for employers seeking for maids, yes. A thorough evaluation, to check whether are they qualified and can own up to the responsibility of being one. Along the way, the organization can do a spot check. That is a better solution compared to the idea of a club. purposeless.

Just saying.
